Press the reel latch to begin opening the reel assembly.
Essential setup and operating sequence for Standard, Pro and Heavy Duty. Follow the 16-step visual guide below before putting the Cable Lasher into operation.
The basic operating sequence applies to Standard, Pro and Heavy Duty configurations. Reel and traction-pulley materials vary by model, but the setup sequence remains the same.
Wear gloves, safety glasses and a hard hat, and follow all applicable jobsite and aerial-work safety procedures.
Prepare the reel, confirm wire direction and route the lashing wire correctly before positioning the machine on the strand.

Press the reel latch to begin opening the reel assembly.

Turn the reel cap clockwise until the cap disconnects from the reel.

The lashing-wire line must follow the same direction as the arrow on the reel.

Fit the lashing-wire coil to the reel, then refit the reel cover.

Press the latch again and turn the cap counterclockwise to close. Do not cut the tie wraps until the spool cap is installed.

For routes with trees, install the lashing wire through the Rear Wire Guide.
Open the required supports, place the Cable Lasher on the strand and position the cable through the machine.

Open the gate and the rear roller support before installing the strand and optical cable.

Open the front horizontal roller and front bracket to continue strand installation.

Position the Cable Lasher over the messenger strand.

The strand must pass through the grooves in the front and rear pulleys.

Position the optical cable along the strand through the Cable Lasher.

Keep the cable adjusted close to the vertical rollers.
Secure the lashing wire, connect the towing rope and set the machine lock for operation.

Fix the lashing wire in a wire clamp.

Fix the lashing wire in the opposite wire clamp.

Connect the towing rope to the Cable Lasher.

After setup, use the hasp to unlock the machine for operation or lock it as shown in the guide.
