FF001 Lubrication & Weekly Care
A visual maintenance reference for weekly lubrication, inspection and storage of the MECSIL Cable Lasher.
The right lubricant. A simple weekly routine.
Use spray grease formulated with lithium soap and paraffinic base oils. Apply it once a week to the points marked in red below, using a controlled amount and wiping away excess grease.

Lubricate and inspect the machine weekly.
Check the traction pulley, nylon bearings and wire reels for wear.
WD-40 Specialist White Lithium Grease
For routine FF001 lubrication, MECSIL recommends the 10 oz spray grease shown here or an equivalent white lithium spray grease formulated for long-lasting metal-to-metal lubrication and corrosion protection.

- Application: Use the Smart Straw for controlled placement
- Identification: Match the product name and specification; packaging colors may change
Apply only a controlled amount to the marked service points and wipe away excess grease.
FF001 Lubrication Points
Use all five views to locate each service point. The red rings reproduce the lubrication locations identified in the MECSIL maintenance reference.
Front assembly
Lubricate the exposed pivots, shafts and moving interfaces marked in red.
Six lubrication points are marked with red rings.
Reel shaft and wire guide
Service the threaded reel shaft and the adjacent guide mechanism.
Three lubrication points are marked with red rings.
Lower drive mechanism
Lubricate the marked shafts, pivots, spring and rotating interfaces.
Nine lubrication points are marked with red rings.
Rear assembly
Check both sides and service every marked moving connection.
Eight lubrication points are marked with red rings.
Adjustment mechanism
Lubricate the threaded adjustment points and center moving interface.

Complete these checks before returning the machine to service.

01Inspect common wear items
Check the traction pulley, nylon bearings and reels for wear, damage or excessive play.

02Check reel adjustment
Verify the reel adjustment weekly and correct it before operation when necessary.

03Confirm wire-coil direction
Position the lashing-wire coil so the wire follows the direction arrows engraved on the reel.

04Store the lasher correctly
After use, clean the unit and keep the Cable Lasher protected inside its storage case.
